I did not really grow up in church...
...so my life changed pretty dramatically when I began my relationship with Jesus as a 19 year old college student. While in college, I had gotten involved in the “college party scene” and all the stuff that lifestyle includes. All of that changed when I understood that Jesus knew everything about me and that He loved me in spite of myself. I prayed and told God that I would give Him my life if He really wanted me even after all the things I had done. Life has certainly not always been easy since that moment, but since then my life has had a peace and a purpose that I simply cannot put into words.

Other than my relationship with Jesus, without question, the greatest blessing that God has given me is my wife Adrienne. She truly is my best friend. God answered my prayers when we were married in December 2000. Every day since then I have grown to love her more and more. God has also blessed us with three wonderful children. In December 2003, God blessed us with our first daughter Micaela, who is a tremendous helper and loves school – especially the playground. In April 2006, God blessed us with our second daughter Alyssa, who is a master pretender and loves anything related to princesses. Finally in September 2007, God blessed us with our son Jonathan, who is an absolute flirt and loves anything related to either balls or cars.
My perfect day involves trout fishing and roasting marshmallows over a fire during a family vacation in Colorado. You know though, if we were all honest, most of our days are far from the one we would call perfect. Financial struggles, sickness, insane schedules, kids, parents, an extra long line at Wal-Mart, and a laundry list of other things pile up on us and keep us from living the incredible life that God has planned for us. At Highland Hills, we strive to meet you wherever you are in your life and help you to become closer to Jesus Christ. We all deal with the same kinds of things and none of us were meant to deal with those things alone. I can guarantee you that we don’t have all the answers, but we can help you to better know the God who does have them all. Whatever your circumstance, know that you are loved by God and by all of us at Highland Hills.
